TASTE WASHINGTON

We. Have had so much fun for our ‘Taste Washington’ month of March. For pour final installment we are proud to be in the the good graces of Savage Grace for a sparkling, then to one of the OG;’s: Dunham for a red blend. Then we jump over to Yakima for a Cab from Marhill, and we finish at a big Syrah from Long Shadows!

@ Humble Vine

Wednesday, March 25th

HOURS: 2-8 PM

Wine Tasting: $25

Savage Grace, Cot’ Pet Nat Dineen Vineyard           Yakima, Washington     $24

sourcing its grapes from the Dineen Vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills of the Yakima Valley. It is a 100% natural, whole-cluster pressed, and unfiltered wine. 100% Cot (a Loire, France way of saying Malbec). Clean minerality and lots of breadiness. Citrus notes of grapefruit, tangerine, and some faint ginger.

Dunham Cellars, Trutina Red. Blend          Columbia Valley, Washington    $27

An aroma of roasted plums leads to a great combo of savory, smoky flavors over ripe, almost jammy blueberries and blackberries. It’s powerful but polished. 64% Merlot, 29% Cabernet sauvignon, 4% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. A popular classic wine from a classic Washington winery.

Maryhill Winery,  Cabernet Sauvignon       Columbia Valley, Washington    $28

To craft this wine, only the free run juice was collected and no press fraction was blended. The wine was then barrel aged for 9 months in new French oak. Raspberries, blood orange, and fennel aromas lead to flavors of orange peel, clove, and cinnamon with a velvety spiced chocolate finish.

Long Shadows, Sequel Syrah       Columbia Valley, Washington  $75

This Wien is the “Sequel” wine of legend winemaker John Duval;. He changed the world while working in Australia at Penfolds. He is the the creator of world famous Penfolds Grange. Here in Washington, in collaboration with Long Shadows he crated this HUGE Syrah. Rich, full-bodied, and, smoky profile, this, top-tier Syrah uses grapes from Red Mountain and other premier vineyards, often blending in a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
