We love all wines from Seth Kitzke @ Upsidedown. Rescue Rose, Method Red, and now this banger… Made from unicorn dreams and Cabernet Franc! From Seth’s estate vineyards on Candy Mountain! Shun the nonbelievers, Charlie! This bubble is always a fan favorite, one barrel made! Aged an extra year for extra intensity. 100% Cabernet Franc.
Dunham, Rosé of Cabernet Franc Columbia Valley, Washington $21
Fresh and vibrant, with notes of lychee, grapefruit, and floral blossom. White strawberry and lemon rind carry through the palate, lifted by juicy acidity that keeps the wine crisp and refreshing from start to finish. All stainless steel to keep vibrancy of the 80% Cabernet Franc, 20% Syrah.
Pursued by Bear, “Bear Cub” Red Blend Columbia Valley, Washington $35
Opens with ripe aromas of black cherry, plum, and a touch of warm spice. The palate is fruit-driven and smooth, with layers of dark berry, cocoa, and a soft, rounded finish. 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc aged French oak for 30 months.
Long Shadows, “Chester Kidder” Red Blend Columbia Valley, Washington $75
A big Bordeaux from the darlings at Long Shadows. It’s a powerhouse of a wine, richly layered and concentrated, with a suppleness to the tannins and mouthfeel. There’s dark fruit and baking spice that contrast against the Syrah’s brooding gamey garrigue. 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Syrah, and 11% Petit Verdot, the latter providing a lift of bright acidity. Aged 30 months in French oak, 85% of it new.
