California!

Lets get after a California adventure with 1 white and 3 reds. Start down in Paso Robles for an estate grown Grenache Blanc, then up the coast for a Pinot Noir outa the Central Coast, then a kick flip over to Mendocino for a wild Red Blend, then we wrap it up in Sonoma for a Zinfandel based blend.

Ridge Vineyards, Grenache Blanc           Paso Robles, California    $41

Primarily sourced from Paso Robles vineyards in the Adelaida Hills District. The wine includes a blend of Grenache Blanc with 15% Picpoul Blanc and Roussanne, which adds acidity, texture, and complexity. It is fermented mostly in stainless steel, with some aging in older American and French oak barrels and amphorae, emphasizing minimal intervention, natural yeast fermentation, and malolactic fermentation.

Lime, tangerine, and apricot, alongside orchard pear and peach. A wisp of lanolin, hay field, mineral, almond, star jasmine, honeysuckle, and a hint of salted soil or chalk. Complex, fresh and balanced.

Calera, Central Coast Pinot Noir         Central Coast, California    $28

Calera (Spanish for “lime kiln”) is known for pioneering Pinot Noir in limestone-rich vineyards in California’s Central Coast, a unique terroir contributing to the wine’s distinct character. Aromas of dark raspberry, sandalwood, and clove. The palate displays layers of blackcurrant and ripe cherry with smooth tannins. Hints of baking spice in the long and polished finish. Aged 10 months in French oak.

This vibrant and approachable red blend is bursting with fresh, juicy red fruit flavors. It features a lively, fruit-forward profile with bright acidity and soft tannins. The grapes sourced are 35% Barbera, 32% Syrah, 23% Carignan, and 10% Dolcetto!
