You can use 100% of one grape, or a blend of any of those 5 grapes. You have probably heard of these ones, well the first 4 anyway… Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, & Petit Verdot.

Château Buisson-Redon, Bordeaux Rouge Fronsac, Bordeaux $14
Buisson-Redon is owned by the Fronsac estate of Chteau Mayne-Vieil and the vineyards lie just outside the appellation which is why it's classified as AOC Bordeaux. Soft and welcoming, it has a ripe, round and plummy nose with a hint of wood spice and nutmeg. It's quite full bodied and well-structured with gentle tannins that lead to velvety finish. 30 year old vines of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc
Les Gravieres de la Brandille, Bordeaux Superior Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux $21
With all three of the main Bordeaux grapes in this blend, this wine has structure, ripe tannins, and forward, spicy black-currant fruits. "This great-value Bordeaux comes from the Borderie family, which has made wine outside of St.-Émilion for five generations. Juicy but structured, showing ripe fruit. Bordeaux balance with savory minerality; best matched with lamb and other rich meats. Classic Bordeaux Supérieur style, supple tannins, and elegance.
Clos de Pavillion, Montagne St Emillion St Emillion, Bordeaux $29
The vineyard is dry-farmed, grows high-density, and produces a classic Right Bank Bordeaux style. Aromas of cherry, raspberry, subtle earth. Plush, classic Right Bank texture: vibrant acidity, fine tannins, touch of minerality, medium body. Typical notes include blackberry, leather, and a slightly savory character.
Chateau Moncets, Lalande Pomerol $30
The land has been a documented winery since before 1770! It bears the name of General de Moncets, who acquired it in 1872. Ruby color, nose of violets, cherries, raspberries. Palate of red fruits and spice, with an elegant tannic backbone. Recent vintages show juicy dark cherry, fresh acidity, touch of oak, ripe berry fruit, plush texture, and a supple finish. 73% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon.
