Snowflake: a Unique wine tasting

Snowflake

Like a snowflake is an individual that cannot be replicated, these wines are as unique as they are delicious. First, we try a special “Raw” Prosecco that uses an ancestral process and 7 grapes... Then, a white blend from WA but inspired by the Southern Rhone Valley in France. For reds a Super Italian red blend from Lady Hill. Mmmm. And we finish with a wine that has a little amnesia. “Monastrell” in Spain is the same as “Mourvèdre” from France…huh?, but this guy is grown in Washington!! Hmmm. Just get here and try these unique wines for yourself!!!

@ Humble Vine, Wednesday January 15th

from 4 till 7 or until the bottles are empty….

Col Tamarie, BRUT Pet Nat, Veneto Italy $23

Col Tamarie is made as Prosecco was produced a long time ago This wine is fermented spontaneously. Col Tamarie is a white wine refermented in bottle, made with 7 varieties of grapes, cured with Homeopathy, historically grown in San Lorenzo, which is the highest hill in the Prosecco area. 450/500 meters of altitude They made the wine without use of chemicals and technology Grape Varieties: Glera, Boschera, Perera, Bianchetta, Grapariol, Verdiso, Marzemina Bianca.

Secret Squirrel, White Blend, Walla Walla WA $16

The Secret Squirrel White Blend has lovely aromas of orange blossoms, white peaches, and cracked stones. The palate is medium bodied, as Rhone grapes tend to be weightier than say Sauvignon Blanc or even Chardonnay, even in this case where no new oak is used. The texture is very soft, and there are flavors of apricots, bosc pears, galangal root, with hints of cracked white pepper and roasted nuts. It finishes dry and clean, with a little minerality.

Lady Hill, Procedo Red, Columbia Valley WA $25

Crazy blend from the gals from Lady Hill. Mostly Sangiovese, with Barbera, Syrah, and Merlot. All grown in Washington. Aromas of red and black cherry, raspberry, and leather with hints of earth and garrigue. The mouth is weighted and plush with flavors of black cherry and plum. The rich texture is balanced with fine tannins that mingle with a vibrant, juicy acidity.

Michael Florentino, Monastrell, Yakima Valley WA $29

Now landing in Washington (woot woot)! Here we have a Monastrell A.K.A Mourvedre. This is a nice, almost drinkable red from Yakima Valley. Bold and dark with lush fruits, some sense of minerality, and balancing acidity.
