Dealing in Delicious

The wines featured this evening are not chosen for their rarity or region. Only taste will matter in this sampling. Some of our tastiest wines, that overwhelm the palate, will be on display to dazzle you. Starting with a wine so racy and scrumptious you won’t believe it’s a Riesling. Only to lay the stage for the best viognier this side of the Duwamish. We get dark with an Argentina Malbec. Darker still with our Aglianico, that adds a bit of rain and wet stone to the pile. Finishing the scrumptious evening with a bodacious blend that I have not come across before, from amazing winery Lady Hill. So if you hate suffering through bad wines, Get here!!

@ Humble Vine, Wednesday October 23d.  4pm

Until the bottles drink themselves…. (that means about 7-7:30….)

Kuentz-Bas, Riesling, Alsace France $17

A floral freshness hovers above the citrus notes on the nose. Concentrated and clean but ripe and pure lime that backs up the crisp and dry palate. This is light but has real impact. It reveals some fresh apple notes on the long and refreshing finish. A Riesling that will make you declare “Say sike right now!”

J Scott, Viognier, Rogue Valley Oregon $19

The fruit for this 100% Viognier is sourced from the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. Aged primarily in stainless steel with a touch of oak, this wine is lush and beautifully aromatic with flavors of peach, pear and notes of fresh flowers. Sooo Good….

Santa Julia, Malbec, Mendoza Argentina $15

This full-bodied Malbec is from Mendoza, where Malbec rules the land. It is full of cherry, plum, and holiday spices. Texture is smooth with a velvety finish. It is the ideal wine for steaks, burgers, firm cheeses and Netflix binging.

Tombacco, Aglianico, Puglia Italy $17

Aglianico is one of Italy’s noble grapes. A dark, deep ruby red with clear purple tones. This structured wine is complex with enjoyable hints of cherry and red berry notes, followed by a marked vanilla and spicy note. Elegant, warm and full-bodied, this wine has a good length and persistence that leaves an enjoyable soft sensation on the palate.

Procedo, Red, Columbia Valley Washington $25

Crazy blend from the gals from Lady Hill. Sangiovese, Barbera, Syrah, and Merlot. All grown in Washington. Aromas of red and black cherry, raspberry, and leather with hints of earth and garrigue. The mouth is weighted and plush with flavors of black cherry and plum. The rich texture is balanced with fine tannins that mingle with a vibrant, juicy acidity. The cherry on top….
