Broadbent, Vinho Verde Rose Vinho Verde, Portugal $14
If you haven’t had this bottle yet, try not to pass out when you are tickled by the barley noticeable bubble, the strawberry bubblegum, watermelon, and sweet summer flower flavors. Portuguese rosé wine that captures the essence of Vinho Verde. The palate is crisp and refreshing, featuring flavors of red berries, citrus, and a touch of minerality, leading to a lively and vibrant finish.
Banfi, Natura Flores Rose Central Valley, Chile $19
A very cool Chilean Rose. Fragrance reminiscent of bunches of wild strawberries. Bright, fresh and full of cherry skin and plum flavors. A fruit forward palate with good acidity, combined with silky and elegant tannin. Delicate and chug-able (what wine isn’t?!). A patio pounder! From organically grown Syrah, Cabernet Sauv, and Syrah.
Champs Libre, “Cabochard” Rose de Gamay Loire Valley, France $25
We love us a good Gamay, and this Rose delivers! Fresh, bone-dry, and energetic with a steely core, with tangy cherry, watermelon, racy citrus fruit, bright acidity and rocky minerality. Very cool. From the gorgeous Loire Valley: the garden of France.
Adelsheim, Rose Willamette Valley, Oregon $29
Adelsheim is one of my favorite Willamette Valley producers. It’s like smelling a glass that someone thoughtfully pre-filled with tangerine zest and white peach nectar. How considerate! Equally appreciated is Ana aroma of grated nutmeg and the utterly vibrant palate. 100% Pinot Noir, LIVE Certified Sustainable.
