Spanish Wine Tasting

  • Humble Vine 824 SW 152nd St Burien, WA, 98166 United States (map)

Humble Vine Wednesday Wine Tasting:

Wild Spain

Try a wild side of Spain. We try 2 whites from northern Spain but on opposite side of the country. One on the Atlantic and one on the Mediterranean Sea!  The reds might as well be as far apart, in distance and in profile.

Come taste the wild side of Spain!

Wine Tasting:  $15

@ Humble Vine

Wed, April 27th

2:00 PM till the bottles are dry!

Here is the Lineup!

Pardas, Rupestris, Penedes $19

Cava grapes, yet not sparkling! Organic. Dusty pear and citrus nose with a touch of wood spice. Grippy and chalky grain in the texture and persistent, zesty citrus fruits on the come-down. Opulently mouthwatering and vegan!

Licia, Albarino, Rias Baixas, $19

Classically straw yellow with greenish hues. The grape is Albarino from its homeland region Rias Biaxas, in Northwest Spain. You can see the ocean from some of the vineyards (pictured above). Hints of grapefruit, candied fruit, notes of fresh herbs, green apples, and minerals. It is full bodied and well balanced. Yes, yes, a million times yes!

Bodegas Ponce, Bobal “Clos Lojen”, Manchuela $19

Practicing organic and biodynamic. Easy Chugging. It has a brambly red fruit crunch. A velvet hammer, Racy yet comforting. Vinous yet juicy. The grape can often be dark and intense. This Bobal is more floral, like French Beaujolais, and less veggie than Rioja, or thick as Priorat. A good spring time red, or summer, or fall, or winter.

Dido, Monsanto “Las Universal”, Monsanto $32

Mostly Grenache, with Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot! Organic. We finna find notes of black currant, blackberry, dust, leather, currant, blueberry and strawberry. The olfactory might discover vanilla, toast, smoke, tobacco, dark fruit, red fruit, spice box and cedar. Complex to say the least. Crazy awesome to boast the most.
