Here is the Lineup!
Jean Yves Millaire, Loupiot, $21
A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. Loupiot means in old French "little wolf" and affectionately "little child". This wine has a pale straw color and a fine nose of white fruits.
Chateau Puy-Servain, Montravel Blanc, $26
A blend of 90% Sauvignon Gris (ever seen that one?) and 10% Semillon grown sustainably on calcareous clay-limestone soils. The fruit is hand-picked and cold-fermented before a short time aging on the lees in stainless steel tanks.
Bois de la Croix, Saumur Champigny, $21
This wine comes from a small appellation in the heart of the Loire Valley called Saumur-Champigny. This is a Loire Valley Cabernet Franc in all its purple-fruited, violet-scented, mineral-etched glory.
Grangette, Cocoriko, Picpoul Noir, $22
Picpoul Noir yields a charming, light-bodied, fragrant red that sings of strawberry and garrigue (bramble/sage types) with a juicy texture and moderate alcohol. Great for picnics and all-purpose red needs. Throw a little chill on it if you like and you're good to go! Straw not included.
