Avennia Winery

Old World Inspiration...

Proudly Washington.

Avennia was founded on the passion to showcase Washington as a unique and compelling place for great wines. Their priority is to acquire fruit from some of the finest vineyards in Washington, and allow them to express themselves. They chose to focus on the grape varieties used in Bordeaux and the Rhône, as their similar latitude to Washington makes them a natural fit to excel here.

@ Humble Vine

Wednesday, December 15th

4pm-8pm

Only $15

2019 "Oliane" Sauvignon Blanc $29

Oliane is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, barrel fermented using native yeast and bottled unfined. The intent for this wine is to clearly express the richness and complexity this noble grape is capable of in Washington. This wine opens with lively aromas of white grapefruit, passionfruit, sweet hay, pea vine, tarragon, and a whiff of struck flint. There’s an intensity to the palate, bringing lime and grapefruit, sweet spring herbs, and fresh mown hay notes, carried by a concentrated mid-palate with bright acidity.

2019 Lydian Syrah $27

Lydian was established in 2019 as a new way to experience Washington wine. The team behind the fast-rising success of Avennia brings you another delicious wine that serves as an introduction to a lifetime of wine appreciation and a fresh take on Washington terroir. This Syrah is deeply colored, with black plums, blueberry, smoked meat, flowers, and herbs. A balanced, fruity wine with a savory finish.

2019 "Justine" GMS $43

Justine- The name is inspired by one of the great heroines of recent literature, who also sprung from the imagination of the Mediterranean. Dark, seductive, complex, with a chasm of depth: The Justine is a great reflection of Avennia’s mission of expression, and Washington’s generous terroir. Notes of black cherry, raspberry reduction, cola, thyme, desert sage, blood orange peel, and crushed river rock are all featured in the aromas and flavors of this wine. The palate is silky and layered, with a richness that’s notable in this vintage.

2019 "Gravura" Bordeaux Blend $43

This blend is inspired by the wines of the Graves region in Bordeaux, emphasizing balance, complexity, and above all, deliciousness. Beautifully balanced old and new world aromas of blueberry compote, black cherry, black currants, vanilla bean, crushed violet, and Bordeaux-like notes of graphite, cigar box, Ethiopian espresso, and flood minerals. The vintage really comes through on the palate, with impeccable balance, lively lifting acidity, and a seamless focus of blue and black fruits, floral and herbal complexity, along with a gravelly minerality that recalls the great wines of Bordeaux. The finish lingers with a mix of dark fruits, flowers, and ground espresso.
