WINE TASTING! -- J. Scott Cellars

J Scott Cellars

J. Scott is a wonderfull winery from Oregon. Making wines from north to south. Delicious and focused wines. Here are some words and tasting notes from the wine maker.

“It is our belief that wine is a form of consumable art, where no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Rather, each wine is a "snap-shot" of the growing season, mixed with specific varietal characteristics unique to each grape and a small amount of human intervention. Each of our wines represents a singular artistic expression of the winemaker.”,

J Scott.

Join us for a wine tasting!

Chardonnay, 2018, $25

The sweetest of our dry white wines, this Chardonnay was created with love for Jonathan's wife Bonnie. It unveils aromas of butterscotch and creamy vanilla. As one of our most popular wines this Chardonnay is loved by all and will surprise even those who claim to dislike the varietal.

Viognier, 2018, $22

Cue the aromatics! The 2018 Viognier has floral notes of honeysuckle and lilac throughout the nose and leads into bright acidity on the palette! Fresh cut pear and stone fruit give way to a long finish that makes you excited for another sip!

Cabernet Sauvignon, 2016, $35

This wine opens with intense fresh pepper on the nose. After taking just once sip your whole body will melt into the earth as you take in the rich full body experience of this wine. Savory vegetal notes with essence of graphite and well-rounded dark fruit fill every glass. The 2017 Cabernet is perfect for drinking now or in 10 years...If you can keep the bottle that long.

Pinot Noir, 2017, $29

The 2017 Pinot Noir is a perfect example of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. A classic light body red wine bursting at the seams with ripe red raspberries while smelling of sweet soil. If you are not enjoying this wine on a summer evening after sunset, then it will take you back to sunshine during those grey Oregon Days. Pairs perfectly with the flavors of fall!

Syrah, 2016, $35

Soft pepper on the nose, plum on the palate and that's only the beginning! Our Syrah is rich, flavorful, silky, and smooth. This wine is so seductive that even on a warm summer day you'll reach for a full glass and savor every second of it!
