Labor Day Prep:
ALL ROSE'S
I imagine a camping trip. The car doors & tires are dusty from the ride through the unpaved trails. The unique aroma blend of hot mountain dirt, pine, & ferns are in the air. Sun is waning for the day but strong. We put out our chairs & our snacks. We reach in the cooler for the perfect libation. We push past the ice & the bagged sandwiches & find…the bottle of Rosé. As we revel in the mid-summer, we can enjoy raising a dew-beaded glass to the fire ball in the sky and reminisce in the journey from seed in soil, to juice in glass. The pink & copper hued beauts’ are enough to keep the memories of winter at bay and let us enjoy this cusp of a revolution around our sustaining orb. There is never a better time than the present to enjoy the sparkle of our hue challenged friend, the Rosé.
Come try a few on for size! @ Humble Vine,

Borgo Alato Rose, Extra Dry Spumante, Italy $12
This refreshing sparkler shows crisp apple and bright citrus flavors, notes of almonds, white peaches. Rich ruby color!! Dry, bitter-lemon finish. Ideal as an aperitif and a perfect accompaniment to hors d'oeuvres, sushi and fish.
Pool Toy, Rose, Provence France $13
A classic taste from this French rose. Very dry, crisp, and refreshing. Light medium-bodied, with notes of strawberry and raspberry. Pair with light foods, salads, spicy foods, drink solo, or in the pool! You have to see this delicious Provencal Grenache/Syrah to believe it!!
Beronia Rioja Rose, Rioja Spain $17
Aromas of stone fruit and chewing gum are mild and easy. This rosé feels fresh but has some weight and grip. Peach, nectarine and apricot flavors show on the palate, while a good texture and mild bitterness add some complexity to the finish.
Morisfarms, Rosemundi, Tuscany Italy $19
The name Rosamundi (also known as Gallic Rose), comes from a variety of rose which is native to southern and central Europe. It was one of the first species of roses to be cultivated by the Greeks and Romans and was commonly used in mediaeval gardens; in the 19th century, it was considered to be one of the most important rose species. 100 % Sangiovese. No Saignee method…
Libertine, Acid Freak Rose, Oregon, $21
I LOVE THIS WINE and WINEMAKER!!! This is a blend of Dolcetto and Riesling! Both of which were fermented separately and then blended. This wine is unfiltered, unfined and does not contain any weird additives. Dark (for a Rosé) of cherry color or strawberry, little hazy or cloudy (unfiltered). Nose of under ripe cherry, strawberry, watermelon, High acidity (mouthwatering)
Upsidedown, Rescue Rose Washington $24
Seth, the kind winemaker, gives a percentage of the profits to Animal shelters. Aww… This rose is Nebbiolo sourced from the Horse Heaven Hills. This wine begins with aromatics of strawberry, guava, red cherry, and white peach. There are flavors of strawberry, red cherry, nectarine and starfruit. Award winning, palate pleasing, bomb rose.
