BUFO 2019
Burien UFO Festival!
Witness possible first contact as the Burien UFO Festival honors the outer worlds. Humble Vine & Olde Burien will pay homage to our far-out friends. We will show our “soon-to-be-overlords” a representation of the fermented family from around the solar system. We explore deep Yakima with a Rosé, then we visit the Willamette Galaxy for Pinot Gris. The stars will sparkle as we blast into France for a Rouge. Loose your gravity with the Lisbon Tinto, & Hypershoot through ta blend of black holes (Melange Noir) from the Columbia Valley Vector.

Humble Vine!
Saturday, August 24th 4PM till the bottles are empty
Lone. Birch, Rose, Yakima Washington $12
This pale pink wine is 100% Sangiovese and offers aromas of herb and sour cherry. It drinks just a pinch off dry, with mouthwatering fruit flavors
Spindrift, Pinot Gris, Willamette Valley Oregon $16
Lively floral aromas of crushed pineapple, green apple and pear flavors. A light hint of Meyer lemon finishes with lingering finish. “Double Gold Medal Winner” from “The San Fran Chronicle”
Notre Dame de Laval, Red Blend, Cotes du Roussillon France $10
The wine begins with a nose combining brambly raspberry and blackberry fruit with wonderful earthy/gamey/wild Carignan notes and black-olive subtleties from the Syrah. The fruit extract on the palate is just fantastic for a $10 wine. In its inky, palate-staining character, it acts very much texturally like wines that cost two or three times as much.
Casa Santos, “Cigarra” Red Tinto, Lisbon, Portugal $12
A fresh and fruity wine that has a stalky character and red berry fruits. It is light in tannins with a smoky touch and juicy, perfumed acidity. This is your favorite red you haven’t heard of yet.
Michael Florentino, Mélange Noir, Columbia Valley Washington $21
A blend of 4 regional Greats. It has body from the Spanish Tempranillo. Color & Pepper from the French Syrah, and classy & rustic note from the Tuscan Sangiovese and a poppin’ freshness from the Piedmonte Barbera. THEN it is aged in American oak for A whisper of vanilla richness.
