L’Antica Cantina, “Zephiro”, Puglia Italy $12

This Frizzante wine is young and fresh. Made from Bambino grapes, it has notes of citrus rind and white flowers. Great as a starter, with pork, and with a shot of vodka.

Santa Clerissa, Pinot Grigio “Ramato”, Della Venezie Italy $16

Brilliant copper in color, Ramato wines are Italy’s unique contribution to the orange wine category. Extended time on the skins for white wines. This Ramato is laden with ripe exotic fruit like pineapple, and the palate is velvety, fuller bodied that you’d expect, followed by a lingering, sturdy finish.

Fausse Piste "Le Communard", Portland Oregon, $23

Grapes were basket pressed, went through native fermentation with extended aging on the lees.  Unfined with minimal sulfur. Aromas of peach and burnt sugar, viscous and full bodied.

Tenuta Rapitalà, “Campo Reale” Nero D'Avola, Sicily Italy $15!

The grape Nero d'Avola is native to the island of Sicily. The wine opens with ripe black-skinned fruit, tilled soil and cooking spice aromas. Straightforward and savory, it delivers black cherry, blackberry and ground pepper flavors alongside round tannins. This wine gets 5 gold stars on a 3 thumbs up rating scale.

De Combel La Serre, Cahors “Le Pur Fruit du Causse”, Cahor France $19

100% Malbec from Cahors, a town in the south of France. 40-Year-old vines. Juice was fermented in concrete for 10 days. Wonderful French Malbec delivers inky blue fruit, vibrant acidity and a grippy, sappy mouthfeel. Serious and gluggable.
