OK Wines specializes in natural and raw wines!!
"drinking a great wine should be like shaking hands with a mountain. You're drinking the very land where the vines grow, not the attenuated expression of a winemaker's ego."
“drinkOKwines”
is the reflection of our passion for wine
- after years drinking wine,
we found that the wines we loved most were made in a true reflection of their place.
And we wanted to share that with you!
So, with that said treat yourself and taste these awesome natural wines.
@ Humble Vine, Wednesday December 11th - 4PM till the bottles run dry
La Valle Del Sole, Passerina, Marche Italy $19
This beautiful white wine from the rare Passerina grape of Italy is SO delicious! With a floral nose of yellow flowers: dandelion, marigolds. It has fresh, clean, and zesty nuances on the palate… also yellow apples! Newer vintage but fantastic!
Corisca, Albarino, Rias Baixas Spain $24
Don’t be fooled by the childlike label! This traditional grape from Spain, Albarino, has a smooth and great acidic palate. Adults only! Pairs wonderfully with pastas and shellfish. You won’t want to miss this baby!
Kelley Fox Wines, Chardonnay “Durant Vineyard”, Dundee Hills Oregon $45
This beautiful, classic chardonnay from a historic vineyard- Durant, has the flavors that you want to taste in a chardonnay. Slight butter with a hint of oak- This is the wine you want to bring to your holiday party! Word on the street is that this hunk tastes a lot like a “Baby Rombauer” (WHATTT?)
Il Monte Caro, Valpolicella, Veneto Italy $24
Here we have an unfiltered knock out wine! Made of a blend of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes and aged in stainless steel. This is a medium-body, high-acid wine that's not what you'd expect from this classic wine region. The regional pairing is Risotto!!!
Grifalco, Aglianico De Vulture, Italy $25
Brought to Italy by the Greeks in the 6th century B.C., Aglianico enjoyed an early heyday in the ancient world as one of the key components of Falernum, a wine revered by kings and poets. After nearly being wiped out by Phylloxera in the 19th century, the grape is now experiencing a great revival in southern Italy. Inky black in color, with big tannins and firm structure, the grape offers typical notes of black fruits, smoke, dark chocolate, and a fresh rain.
