Get ready for Cinco de Drinko with this wine tasting from Valle de Guadalupe Mexico! The wine region is located in the Baja California, Mexico. Renowned for its burgeoning wine industry, it boasts a Mediterranean climate, with warm days and cool nights, ideal for grape cultivation. Valle de Guadalupe has gained international recognition for its high-quality wines. We will sample a Sauvignon Blanc, a Chardonnay, a Cabernet, and a Red Blend.

Monte Xanic , “Vina Kristel” Sauvignon Blanc     Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. $25

The fruit was sourced from old vines in the Valle de Guadalupe. This Sauvignon Blanc offers subtle notes of pear, dill, grapefruit, guava, lychee, soursop, passion fruit and pineapple. Also, there is orange blossom and zesty lemongrass notes. The aromatic quality and persistence is excellent. The palate has an herbal character, showing notes of grass and citrus fruit alongside moderate acidity.

Santos Brujos, Chardonnay      Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. $33

Fresh, floral, fruity, intense and complex on the nose. On the palate both elegant and intense notes of green apple, pineapple and tangerine. A hint of spice from the oak barrel. Built in the fashion of a high-end burgundy from the best estates, the final blend sees two months in new French oak before all of it is blended and continues to age in stainless steel tanks.

La Lomita, Cabernet Sauvignon       Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico   $28

Easy to drink Cab. Fruity notes of intense fresh plum and red fruits. Floral notes of rose petals. Spices like white pepper and cardamom.cherry and plummy, rose petal nose and in mouth a nice round mouth feel with medium acidity and slightly tannic

Monte Xanic, Calixa Blend      Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico      $27

Medium cherry red color with violet hues. Aromas of red fruits such as strawberry, red cherry, raspberry and black fruit such as plum and blackberry. In addition there are fine aromatic herbs such as thyme, rosemary, menthol and sweet spices such as vanilla. A wine with fresh acidity, warm alcohol and balanced tannins. 40% Tempranillo, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. Aged in French oak barrels.

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
