Starting in a home they were rebuilding, they were down to the “Structures” of their living room and a dream. We are honored to have in Brian in to chat about his wines and stories.

@ Humble Vine

Wednesday, August 19th

HOURS: 2PM - 8 PM

Wine Tasting: $25

Structure Cellars, “Oculus” Viognier      Yakima $30 This line shines a golden light on the delicate aromas of honeysuckle and peach a medium bodied wine lingers on the pallet while the acidity balance is charming stone, fruit flavors, completing the circle of taste it's easy to pair with food and refreshing to drink. This beauty is in the eye of the taster.

Structure Cellars, “Bartizan” Red Blend           Yakima $28 Made as the expression of the relationship between Brandee and Brian. Her favorite being Cab Franc, and his Syrah. Aromas of Plum, raspberry, flint, apple skin, red hots, mustard seed. The palate is rich and round with blackberry, cherry, vanilla cola, raspberry, with just a little bite at the end. 50% Syrah/ Cab Franc.

Structure Cellars, “Bartizan” Bordeaux Blend    Columbia Valley $30 Set your sights on this traditional french style blend. A fortress of flavors. You are sure to find a safe haven in this left bank blend. On the nose mint, basil, oregano, strawberry, and raspberry. On the palate this wine is more fruit-forward than “earth-forward”.  43% Cab Sauv, 24% Merlot, 11% each of Cab Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot aged 23 months in New American and French Oak.

Structure Cellars, “Foundation” Rhone Blend     Columbia Valley $50 The “Foundation” wines are the top shelf line of Structure Cellars. Special vineyards with grapes chosen by Brian and Brandee. These wines are the best the vintage can offer. This Rhone blend is 59% Morvedre and the rest Syrah. (Brian said this might be the best Rhone blend he has ever made.) It's a nod to the iconic GSM blend, but with a distinctive twist: the "G" is silent, or rather, intentionally absent. This pairing of Syrah and Mourvèdre creates a wine with rich complexity, showcasing the unique character of these Rhône Valley grapes. Medium bodied with great acidity, some pepper (but not the show!), plum, blueberry, hint of raspberry, soft herb finish with a silky mouth feel. Stewed plum, flint, dried red pepper flakes, blue cheese, barnyard, boysenberry, gravel/mineral. This is a great food-pairing wine!

Time: 2pm - 8pm or until the bottles run dry!
