Sparkling Pet-Nat Lemberger, $29

Lemberger was once considered a potential signature grape for Washington, there are now believed to be only about 50 acres planted in the State. Planted in Kiona vineyards, the first vines planted in red Mt. In 1976. This vintage, Lemberger Pet-Nat is refreshing and brilliantly sparkling. Bone-dry with notes of berry, citrus, violets and stone fruits.

Blush Grenache, $19

This wine is all Grenache, fermented and aged in concrete. So pale in color it could easily pass for a white wine, the aromas are reserved at present, while the palate is expressive, fuller in feel, with strawberry and pink-grapefruit flavors framed by zippy, lemony acidity.

Petit Grosgrain GSM, $25

Mourvèdre makes up 43% of this wine, with the rest Syrah (34%) and Grenache (23%). The aromas start out high register, with notes of herb, dried flower, peppery spice and blue fruit. The palate is simultaneously flavorful and deft, with tart acidity and a long, drawn out finish. This is extremely impressive stuff, with exquisite balance and an outrageous value to boot.

Carignan, $39

100% Carignan, Old Milton Vineyard. 10 months in neutral French oak barrels,

Carignan, from young vines at the eastern side of the winery property in Walla Walla's Southside district. Light and fresh with bright, crunchy raspberry and red currant notes, as well as baking spices and freshly tilled earth.
