Sonder, Rose de Cinsault, Yakima Washington $22
This Rose is from the new kid on the block (2016); Sonder!! Known for being an organic and sustainable winery, a scarcity in Washington state. This is a grape Cinsault (sin-so). A hunky and robust red grape originating in Southern France. But here we find her soft and supple with a cranberry edge. Barrel fermented and vegan friendly. I say’ Gosh Darn!!!
Locus, MODO White, Columbia Valley Washington $16
This easy-drinking Bordeaux-style white is refreshing any time of year. Blended with Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon; you will find flavors of pineapple, lychee, citrus, with a touch of grass and flint. Pair with oysters, scallops, sushi or even Caesar salad.
Sonder, Grenache Blanc, Yakima Washington $22
Grenache Blanc is a full-bodied white wine that originated in northern Spain. Grenache Blanc wines continue to grow in popularity where it’s loved for its intense flavors, higher alcohol content, and plush style (when aged in oak) similar to Chardonnay. The aromas will burst with green fruit and citrus notes including Asian pear, green apple, unripe mango, lime zest, and white peach.
Airfield, Mustang Red, Yakima Washington $28
Airfield Estates Mustang is a medium to full bodied Rhone-style red blend showcasing lush, juicy flavors of blackberry and plum with chewy tannins and a well-balanced finish. Estate grown in the Yakima Valley for 3 generations. 49% Grenache, 31% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre.
Airfield, Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, Yakima Washington $39
For four generations, the Miller family has been farming in the Yakima Valley Washington's oldest established AVA and is home to some of the state's finest vineyards. Situated along the anticlines of the Rattlesnake Mountains near a WWII airbase, the estate's original vines date back to 1968. Only the best grapes are selected for this special bottling. Crafted and aged for 18 months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels. This wine boasts gorgeous dark color with aromatics of black cherry, plum and black currant. Sandalwood, graphite and exotic spices round out the lush, lingering finish.
J.B. Neufeld, Cabernet Sauvignon, Yakima Washington $38
A boutique, husband and wife run winery located in the Yakima Valley. The fruit is sourced from some of the prized vineyards in Washington's Yakima Valley AVA. Dubrul, Dineen, Two Blondes and Conley Vineyard make up the mix. A perfect expression of what Washington Cabernet Sauvignon should be. Integrated oak, balanced tannin and elegant fruit. Aged for 22 months in French oak.
