Ca Del Doge Pinot Grigio Veneto IT $13
Equally adept as an easy sipper or for cooking - this is one of the best bargains in the shop. Light bodied and dry with hints of green apple and almond. Crisp and uncomplicated.
Ferreri, Catarratto Sicily IT $16
Catarratto is a native grape of the Island of Sicily. Think of the eons of trading and travel that have affected this tiny berry. We should find it medium bodied with a texture that is uniquely, waxy? Oily? Flavors of honeysuckle lemon zest, wild oranges and citrus blossoms.
Beronia, Rueda Bianco Spain $16
Fragrances of citrus fruits, especially grapefruit, peaches and honey. Apricot and sweet floral hints of flowers. The acid structure supports this fruit fullness, which lasts until the finish. Classic Verdejo. Great with all kinds of foods like BBQ and Stir Fry.
Granbazan, Albarino, Rias Bixas Spain $22
Tangerine and honeydew melon are at the forefront backed up by fresh citrus, orchard fruit and interesting pithy note reminiscent of quinine.
Evidia Cochina, Albarino, Rias Baixas Spain $26
This is a superb Albarino! It showcases singular minerality and style only achieved by thoughtful winemaking. Aromas of stone fruit, white roses, citrus and saline nuances. Medium-bodied, lots of vibrancy with notes of dried herbs, mineral, and salinity. Excellent finish that persist for a while. So complex. SO COOL!!!!!!
