France!
Hey Francophiles, we have an awesome value driven tasting. These French wines come through in true Humble Vine fashion: Delicious, but they won’t break the bank. OK, let’s get down on a few Rhone Roses’s, then we will try a super unique Tursan Blanc, a white wine from the Southwest (this one is crazy cool). Then to the classic red Bordeaux from Chateau La Croix Du Duc. And finally, back down to Rhone for “Ju de Vie” and “Le Sang du Peuple”. Stop in for the translation of these titles and to taste these radical options.

Domaine la Graveirette Ju De Vie Rose 2017 $13
Brand new from Awesome wine maker Julien Mus, comes “Ju de Vie” in the pink! The first vintage of this 100% Syrah is rich fruit foreword and straight delish. Dry but with red raspberries, and …bubble gum? Full bodied. And richly salmon colored from all that inky Syrah.
French Pool Toy Rose, 2017, $13
A classic taste from this French rose. Very dry, crisp, and refreshing. Light medium-bodied, with notes of strawberry and raspberry. Pair with light foods, salads, spicy foods, drink solo, or in the pool! You have to see this delicious Provencal Grenache/Syrah to believe it!!
Les Pentes de Berene, Tursan Blanc, 2016 $17
How’s about an all-natural, all-organic, and biodynamic wine for under 20 bones? Impossible you say? Nay says I. Check out this Tursan from a tiny producer (3 acres) and the tiniest AVA in Tursan! The grapes are Baroque (whoa!), Gros Manseng (what?), Petit Manseng (cool!), and Sauvignon Blanc (…boring. lol). This is a complex and aromatic white wine, grass, peach stones, and white apples.
Chateau La Croix du Duc Bordeaux 2015 $13
The first thing you should know is that when you buy this little Bordeaux by the case...it comes in its own wood box. Now for the wine itself. 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc & 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. She has some great fruit aromas with amazing some toast and soft tannins. This might be the winner-winner chicken-dinner...wine!
Caves Jamet, “Le Sang Du Peuple” NV $14
In the hills of Chateaneuf du Pape comes this revolutionary wine. 1/2 Grenache, 1/2 Syrah, Lovely dark velvet, almost black in color. This wine has an unsweetened black cherry and red fruit nose. In taste, dry and very earthy with high minerals. A slight sweetness at the first sip almost ruins it but disappears quickly. No vintage. Unfiltered…really unfiltered. Lol.
Domaine la Graveirette, Ju De Vie Rouge 2016 $14
Deep dark red. On the nose dark berries, plums, some vanilla and pepper. Smooth. Well integrated tannins. Lovely everyday drinking wine. Luscious herbaceous viney mouthful.
