PORTUGAL AND SPAIN
Venturing into the West Coast of Europe, we will visit the tiny country of Portugal and the Powerhouse country Spain. Portugal loves to blend grapes and Rarely makes a single varietal wine. We will try 2 Dao Red blends and 2 Vinho Verdes!!! IN spain we will try a wonderful white from the town of Rueda, and an amazing wine from Sierra de Gredos, an all natural, no added sulfites, Garnacha that has been harvested overripe..This wine is giving, full flavored, really good, and really good for ya!

Broadbent, Vinho Verde Rose $10
An intense aroma, very delicate with notes of red fruits... well-balanced with a soft and slightly fizz finish. MMMMM.
Aveleda, Vinho Verde $9.50
Straw pale color, a complex flowery aromas, with accents of peaches and tropical fruits. On the palate this wine presents a very fresh soft and silky elegancy, revealing hints of spicy citrine flavors.
Honoro Vera, Rueda Blanco, $12
The wine exudes intense aromas of white owers and fresh fruit with exotic tropical notes infused with mouth-watering aromas of lemon curd. Beautifully focused and balanced on the palate with a lush mix of apple and pear.
Faisao, Dao Red $12
Ripe, balanced and attractive, this red boasts fine tannins that lend subtle structure to the black plum fruit. Dense with fruitiness and acidity, it's rich enough to savor with meat.
Bergamota, Dao Red $ 13.50
A perfect expression of elegance and aristocracy, displaying the superb structure and the scent of violets, for which Portugal’s “Touriga Nacional” grape is famous. Gentle oaking has added to the complexity of this dense wine, with rich chocolate aromas and layers of dark cherries and plums on the palate. Great companion to stews, red meats and mushroom sauces.
El Manciano, Garnacha, $27
This cuvee is made up entirely of the late ripening Garnacha grape. This region, west of Madrid, in the Sierra de Gredos, possesses a harsh mountain-influenced continental climate with hot days and cool nights, giving great ripeness with excellent acidity to the predominately Garnacha grapes year in and year out.
