Humble Vine will reach into Spain’s Rioja region to find a wonderful grape - Tempranillo! Tempranillo is originally from Spain, where it still grown extensively today. The name Tempranillo is the diminutive of the Spanish temprano (“early”). This is because it ripens several weeks earlier than most Spanish red grapes. Versatile with food. Rioja Tempranillo has generally has muted flavors, so it is oak-aged and with blended with the fruity Garnache. (Just like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in Bordeaux).

 Plus we will taste a fun and aromatic Spanish white wine. Verdejo.
