Wine Tasting: Bag of Tricks

Bag of Tricks

A magician has a whole bag he can pull his tricks from. Using each trick as a color in his artistic swath. So, I’ve used a lineup of different countries in my bag off tricks. Come experience the likes of mystical lands like: Yakima Washington, Pays D’Oc France, Garzon Uruguay, Rioja Spain, and Ballard Canyon California. Abracadabra! Come and be amazed.

@Humble Vine, Saturday March 6th, 4pm till the bottles vanish!

Treveri, Sparkling - Blanc de Blanc Brut, Yakima WA, $16

Smooth, complex and crisp, Treveri Brut demands indulgence and brings clear perspective to your moment. The fresh and dry finish enhances this bubbly and brings luxury to any occasion.

Le Ballon, Whte, Pays d’Oc France, $12

THIs cool wine is half Vermentino, and half Sauvignon Blanc from the Southwest of France. Light citrus nose. Medium body, high acidity, big citrus, grapefruit, cumquat, and pear. Finishes clean and smooth.

Bodega Garzon, Albarino, Uruguay $19

Straw gold in color, this Albariño surprises with a fresh and vibrant sensation of tropical fruits in the nose with subtle floral notes. On the palate, it expresses a round and fresh body with a salty and mineral combination. A wine with a marked sense of terroir.

Carlos Serres, Rioja Reserva, Spain, $17

Cherry red color with thin terracotta edge showing its longer barrel age. Aromas of mature black fruit, toffee and balsamic as well as some mineral notes. This is a silky wine, but fresh and refreshing as well as elegant and persistent. Perfect for matching any grilled meats, stews or barbequed meats. It also accompanies charcuterie, steaks and even game and stronger cheeses.

Stolpman, La Cuadria, Ballard Canyon CA $24

2016 La Cuadrilla pops with a blast of fresh red plum, boysenberry, and blueberry fruit. Enjoyable out of the gate, the full-bodied wine’s power is totally in check – with tannin and acidity already integrated into the pure juiciness that lasts way through the finish. This wine is going to make a lot of folks very happy with the crew!
