Wine Tasting

Magic Nectar…Wine

As the wine coats the pallet, the taste buds perk up and allow the coursing nectar  to careen down its awaiting arms and whisks it away into the pockets of our jaws. Where it sits and casts a spell upon our memory and nervous system. Provoking our past olfactory responses to rise up and join the current chemical reaction in the pinching cheeks and salivating tongue.  What a drink! Come experience our display of magic.

@ Humble Vine, February 20th from 4 pm till the bottles run dry. AND they do run dry.

Get here early to not miss out!!!

Stolpman, Roussanne, Ballard Canyon CA $29

A combination of Neon Yellow and Peachy Cream in appearance, please decant this wine to show it off, or at the very least, hold your glass up to the light. Singularly unique in appearance. DO NOT fear the cloudiness, it is intentional!! Tangerine orange blossom, honey and a continuum of lemon sing all the way through the palate.

Leah Jorgensen, The Mermaid “Crater View Vineyard”, 2017, Rogue Valley, OR $28

This delightful and refreshing wine is atypical in all the right ways. Intensely aromatic, it conveys a lush mix of honeysuckle, sweet hay, smoke, lime and honeydew melon. And that's before you take the first sip. The low alcohol and bright acidity set it up for a wide range of poultry, pasta and seafood options, and anything with goat cheese is sure fire.

Lady Hill, Procedo Red Blend, Columbia Valley WA, $25

A Super Tuscan-inspired blend of the Italian Sangiovese grape, along with the traditional French Bordeaux grapes cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and merlot. The result is a remarkably plush wine packed with pretty flavors of cherries, raspberries, earth, and dried herbs.

Upsidedown Wines, Method Red, Columbia Valley WA $29

Their Method Red is a tip of the cap to Super Tuscans, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), Nebbiolo (33%) and Sangiovese (22%). It opens with fruity and alluring aromas of blackberry and cherry cola and follows through similar ripe and delicious flavors, backed by black cherry-skin tannins that show refinement. Proceeds of this wine benefit The Chill Foundation, which helps youth overcome challenges through board sports.

Upsidedown Wine Golden Drop 'GSM', Columbia Valley WA #37

A blend of equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre this opens with aromatics of smoked meats, bacon fat, creosote and hunts if salted pomegranate. Feminine and lush, there are flavors of pomegranate, red cherry and bacon fat.
