We will visit the likes of Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay!  The wines all show a great expressive nature with large flavors and bold bodies. No faffing about! Get here and experience the Southern Hemisphere!

@ Humble Vine, Saturday February 16th, 4pm

Yalumba, Viognier, Australia $12

The Viognier depicts vine cuttings. Vine cuttings are the beginnings of a new vineyard, planted after careful sorting, grafting and bundling in our state-of-the-art Yalumba Nursery. This thoroughly alluring wine evokes hints of honeysuckle, lemon and lychees.

Bodega Garzon, Albarino, Uruguay $17

Straw gold in color, this Albariño surprises with a fresh and vibrant sensation of tropical fruits in the nose with subtle floral notes. On the palate, it expresses a round and fresh body with a salty and mineral combination. A wine with a marked sense of terroir.

Marisco, “The Ned” Pinot Noir, New Zealand $22

The first certified wine maker born and raised in New Zealand! Dark Ruby color. Rose and violet floral notes are complemented by black currant, plum and cherry. Oak derived spice with mocha characters. Concentrated flavors of dark berry fruits are underpinned by brambly, spicy notes.

Bodega Garzon, Tannat Reserve, Uruguay, $21

A juicy, full-bodied wine. Rich purple in color with very fresh aromas reminiscent of red and black fruits such as plums and raspberries along with a delicate spicy nose. In the mouth, it is presented with a strong personality. Its mature tannins and minerality transform it into a wine with great soil identity

Odfjell, “Orzada” Carignan, Chile $23

A Norwegian wine maker in Chile using the grape Carignan.  Deep purple color, dusty raspberries, cocoa, developing herbaceous mint aromas. Dry in the mouth, balanced acidity, lots of dark chocolate, berries, tobacco, leather, and sweet spices laying on smooth, ripe tannins with a long finish

El Enemigo, Malbec, Argentina, 2014 $29

Rich and concentrated, this wine offers aromas of black fruit, cherry and dark berry fruit on the nose followed on the palate by a full-bodied wine with flavors of spice, blackberry, black cherry, pepper and a slight floral character. The finish is elegant and lengthy.
