Fresh Whites and Red Delights!

Summer heat is here, and we need to get a cool wine that makes our mouths’ cool. Welcome in Albarino. A fresh and fun wine from Rias Baixas, North West Spain. And one from Uruguay! Toats deelish. Then four red blends from our homeland Warshington. All different in style and blends.  So, come in and get the goods before they are gone.

Kentia, Albarino 2016 $13

Aromas of melon, pear, peach, tropical fruit combine magnificently to produce this enticing silky white with pleasing minerality and refreshing acidity. Balanced, distinctive and elegant. An Ideal match for fish and shellfish. Light and crisp, this fresh white offers modest flavors of apple and tangerine, with juicy acidity the most prominent component. Refreshing.

 

Garzon Albarino 2017 $16

Straw gold in color, this Albariño surprises with a fresh and vibrant sensation of tropical fruits in the nose with subtle floral notes. On the palate, it expresses a round and fresh body with a salty and mineral combination. A wine with a marked sense of terroir.

 

Christopher Michael, Red Blend 2014 $15

In the mouth, this wine shows concentration and weight. Flavors of cherry cola, plums, cinnamon, and dark chocolate coat the mouth as the tannins take hold and add dimension and structure to the wine. This wine shows good balance in the long finish. 
Blend: 54% Syrah, 20% Barbera, 10% Cabernet Franc, 9% Petit Verdot, 4% Malbec, 3% Grenache

 

Saint Laurent, Lucky red 2016 $16

In the mouth, this wine shows concentration and weight. Flavors of cherry cola, plums, cinnamon, and dark chocolate coat the mouth as the tannins take hold and add dimension and structure to the wine. This wine shows good balance in the long finish.

Ad Lucem Elaina Red 2014 $19

Rhône varieties do well in the long warm growing days of Eastern Washington. Elaina Red has classic aromas of blackberry, with hints of white pepper, orange rind and barrel spice. On the palate, this wine is juicy with layers of berry and floral notes with a soft velvety tannin structure.

 

Procedo, Red 2014 $25

A wonderful blend of with concentrated fruit and supple tannins. A robe of violet color; fragrant black fruit and lilacs on the nose; plush black cherry, blueberry notes; good acidity and fruity finish. Pairs well with a grilled ribeye or ribs. 48% Syrah, 30% Counoise, 17% Mourvédre, 5% Grenache
