We will celebrate the Columbia Valley with 3 whites and 2 reds (plus a California syrah blend).
All these wines are full bodied, ripe, and extra delicious. I am excited to show off our 2 new Patterson Cellars wines, A Due Anni White, and a Forbidden white, both blends. And I fell head over heels for this Semillon. Usually a Bordeaux France grape, but grown here in Washington. We will find this one waxy and a honey filled delight.
Our old friend the Raconteur Red is cab Syrah, Otis Kenyon brings a High-end Syrah from Washington, and I wanted to compare it to The Cuadrilla, a Syrah based beauty from California.

Paterson Cellar, Due Anni White, Columbia Valley $17
Every two years, so the story goes, a mysterious stranger wanders the rolling hills of northern Italy sampling the local wines. Everyone who drinks the winning wine is granted “Due Anni di Bella Vita” or two years of the good life. 44% Chardonnay, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, 15% Viognier, 12% Roussanne, 1.5% Semillon, 1.5% Albarino, 1% Riesling!!!
Aromas of apple, lemon followed by a crisp mouth-feel, with a pear and citrus quality. Salute!
Patterson, Forbidden White, Columbia Valley, WA 2016 $19
7 different grape varietals make up this crisp white blend. They kept the residual sugar level a little lower than past vintages. Aromas of apple, lemon and grass followed by a crisp mouth-feel, with a pear and citrus quality.

Lauren Ashton, Semillon, Columbia Valley, WA 2015 $35
This Sémillon was barrel fermented! and aged in neutral French oak. As a result, you will be surprised by fruity aromas of honeysuckle, peaches and sweet melon with a hint of nutmeg and oak vanilla. It has a crisp balance and smooth finish.

75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Syrah
Spice & fruit vie for the leading role with black & white pepper adding a high note to vibrant red raspberry, blueberry & Bing cherry. In the background, smoked & cured meats, herbs de Provence & violets add to the bright upfront fruit.
Stolpman, La Cuadria, Ballard Canyon CA 2016 $24
2016 La Cuadrilla pops with a blast of fresh red plum, boysenberry, and blueberry fruit. Enjoyable out of the gate, the full-bodied wine’s power is totally in check – with tannin and acidity already integrated into the pure juiciness that lasts way through the finish. This wine is going to make a lot of folks very happy with the crew!
Otis Kenyon, Syrah, 2014 Walla Walla, WA $39
Wonderful layered aromas of fig, hazelnut and loam. Flavors of blueberry, boysenberry and baking spice lead to a smooth finish. Wonderfully complex and well-balanced. A big mouth full pf figs, vanilla and pure pleasure. An instant favorite at first taste.
