You're the one that I want, to come down to Humble Vine to check out these hard to find wines from Greece! Welcome in our guest pourer who brings his expertise and info about this wonderful, not to mention historic, wine making country. Taste grapes like Kotsifali, Mandilari, Vilana, and Vidiano! There is as much to know about the world of Greek wines and we are here to spill the beans. So impress your friends, or go on Jeopardy with your new understanding of Greece. Za Za Zu, White, Sparkling Wine, NV, $16

A gentle sweet kiss of peach and juicy stone fruit that excites the senses and tickles the tongue with bubbly delight followed by aromas of a spring breeze bringing scents of apple and cherry blossom with hints of baby’s breath, lily and a garden of white flowers. There is a delicate sweetness to this wine that lends itself to enjoying with friends or peaceful contemplation


Lyrarakis, White, Vilana Pirovolikes , Crete 2014, $21

Vilana is hard to grow and is rarely seen outside of Greece. Medium yellow color with glints of gold at the edges. Intense aromas of wild flowers, luscious pears with light notes of liquorice.  Unique velvety taste with a refreshing long finish.


Lyrarakis, Red, Kotsifali/Mandilari, Crete  2015 $16

Kotsifali is a light, red-skinned grape variety grown primarily on the Greek islands of Crete and Rhodes. Often blended with Mandilari, Varietal wines made from the variety tend to be fruit forward and high alcoholic. Classic red color with aromas of spices and red fruits. Soft mouthfeel with spicy aftertaste.


Lyrarakis, Red, Mandilari, Plakoura Vineyard: Crete 2014 $26

Deep red color with concentrated aromas of dried fruits, spices and ham. Good volume mouth sense, with acidity and the earth & fleshy character of rich tannins to becomplemented by the intense flavor of plum jam and blueberry. Wonderfully balanced with a fine and smooth finish.
